The deputy governor of the New Valley is looking to expand the projects of agricultural biological diversity

Today, Hanan Magdy, Deputy Governor of the New Valley, received a delegation from the Ministry of Environment headed by Mrs. Hoda Al -Shawadafi, Assistant Minister of Environment for Environmental Tourism Affairs, in the presence of a delegation from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, headed by Dr. Mohamed Yaqoub, assistant residing representative for program affairs, and Ahmed Rizk, Director of the United Nations Human Human Settlements Program Office, and Dr. Majd Al -Morsi, Director General of Agriculture in the governorate; This is to discuss ways of joint cooperation in the field of promoting agricultural biological diversity and sustainability in the various governorate centers.

Improving biological diversity

The deputy governor explained that the project comes as a continuation of what was achieved by the project to improve the biological diversity carried out in cooperation with the FAO in the city of Kharga, noting that the current stage has a strategic partnership with the Habitat.

The meeting also discussed the provision of the necessary funding for the project from international donors, and the formulation of the opportunities it provides to farmers and citizens in the targeted areas.

It is scheduled that the delegation will take place over the coming days field tours and meetings with representatives of the local community, farmers and natural reserves throughout the province.
