The Organizing Committee of the Dana Award for Drama 2025, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and organized by the Ministry of Information, announced the list of dramatic works and artists nominated for the award in its second edition.
The Dana Award for Drama 2025 includes ten categories subject to the evaluation of the jury, are: the best social series, the best comic series, the best actor, best actress, best rising face, best soundtrack, best text, best director, best child actor, and best visual effects.
The committee explained that the award for the best social series is competing with: “Transient of the path”, “Al -Ashi Street” and “Ashoush”.
As for the award for the best comedy series, it is competing with: “Al -Baqa under it”, “The Diaries of a Spinsit Man” and “My Mom’s Ideas”.
The committee indicated that the award for the best actor is competing with: the artist Khaled Saqr for his role in the series “Al -Ashi Street”, the artist Ibrahim Al -Hajjaj for his role in the series “Diaries of the Man of a Man”, and the artist Abdullah Bushehri for his role in the series “Trans -Sabbath”.
As for the award for the best actress, it is competing with: the artist Fatima Al -Safi for her role in the series “M44”, the artist Laila Abdullah for her role in the series “Transit Sayat”, and the artist Ilham Ali for her role in the series “Al -Ashi Street”.
The committee pointed out that the award for the best ascending aspect includes two categories, one for young actors, and the artist Basil Al -Salli competes for it for his role in the series “Al -Ashi Street”, and the artist Ahmed Saeed for his role in the series “Awashs”, and the artist Abdul Rahman bin Nafi for his role in the series “Layali Al -Shumaisi”.
As for the category of young actresses within the same award, each of: Alaa Salem is competing for her role in the series “Al -Ashi Street”, the artist Hanin Hamed for her role in the series “Sadaf”, and the artist Lama Abdel Wahab for her role in the series “Al -Ashi Street”.
In the category of best soundtracks, the prize is competing for: The author Radwan Nasri for the series “Al -Ashi Street”, and the author Hossam Yousry for the series “Sidaf”, along with the author Nawaf Al -Jumaan for the series “Layali Al -Shmeisi”.
As for the category of the best text, the nominations included three dramas that have emerged in the distinction of writing and the smoothness of its narration, namely: the writer Farid Stradum for the series “Squad”, the writer Badriya Al -Bishr and the writer Ozlim Yusel for the series “Al -Ashi Street”, in addition to the writer Faisal Al -Balushi about the series “Awsha”.
In the Best Director Award, the directors are competing with: the directors Ahmed Katkexiz, Jul Sreewal, and the Azdimir for the series “Al -Ashi Street”, the director Al -Asaad Al -Waslati for the series “Album – Part Two”, and director Mohamed Anwar for the series “Sidaf”.
The committee explained that the award for the best child actor, on which: Al -Saadi’s dream for the series “Fadda”, Mahmoud Al -Mousawi for the series “Trans -Sabil”, and the longing of Abdullah for the series “Sidaf”.
The committee indicated that the award for the best visual influences is competing with: Jassim Bouhaji for the series “Skawad”, Khaled bin Younis for the series “Agents”, and the club’s generous for the series “Trans -Sabbath”.
The organizing committee emphasized that all the work participating in the award will be subject to study and evaluation by a jury that includes a group of critics and specialists in Gulf and Arab drama, indicating that the evaluation of business is based on many technical and professional standards, including:
The quality and authenticity of the text, the cohesion of the dramatic construction, in addition to the quality of the output in terms of visual and technical creativity, the performance of the actors and the extent of their embodiment of the characters, as well as the integration of different elements of production.
The committee said that the announcement of the winners will take place during a special ceremony, which will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Authority for Sports and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and in the presence of a group of stars and makers of Gulf and Arab drama, as well as a number of media and guests from inside and outside the Kingdom of Bahrain.
