The Ministry of Health and Population, represented by the Central Administration of NGOs and Licensing, announced the closure of the clinic of Dr. Mohamed Hammad for psychiatry and addiction treatment, located in the Al -Safa Mall for Urban Development in the Jordanian region of the tenth of Ramadan City in Sharkia Governorate, to work without a license.

These efforts come based on the instructions of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to tighten control over medical facilities and private clinics, in order to ensure the health and safety of citizens.

Dr. Hisham Zaki, Head of the Central Administration of NGOs and Licensing, explained that the Free Treatment Department in Sharkia Governorate passed the clinic, and it was found that it operates without a license in violation of Law No. 153 of 2004, which is related to organizing the work of medical facilities, in addition to that whoever runs the clinic is impersonating a doctor.

For his part, Dr. Hani Kamina, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Eastern Province, indicated that the clinic was promoting himself via a Facebook page under the name of the clinic, claiming that he is a consultant in psychiatry and addiction treatment, and owns more than one clinic, and receives patients for a fee.

He pointed out that the Free Therapy Department of the Directorate of Health Affairs in the Eastern Province launched a inspection campaign on the aforementioned clinic as part of a magnified campaign targeting the city of Tenth of Ramadan, headed by Dr. Raymond Raouf, Director of the Department, and the participation of both Dr. Atef Hamdi, and Dr. Islam Al -Saeed, the free treatment inspectors of the Tenth of Ramadan Health Department.

Dr. Raymond Raouf, Director of the Free Treatment Department in Sharkia Governorate, said that during the traffic, the doctor’s adjective assaulted the free treatment inspectors of the health department in the tenth of Ramadan while performing their work, trying to escape from the unlicensed clinic and evacuate the procedures, pointing to the summons of a police force, which arrested him, to complete all the necessary legal procedures, and a report was released at the Police Department of the first tenth of Ramadan.

He stressed that the clinic was closed and closed, calling on citizens to see the license of private centers and clinics, and to license the profession for those in charge of it before starting treatment procedures, to ensure that they receive a security medical service, stressing the continuation of the implementation of the supervisory campaigns in order to ensure the health and safety of citizens.
