Lieutenant -General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and his accompanying delegation, returned to the homeland, after the end of his official visit to the state of Turkey, where he was held for an official reception ceremony and a review of the honor guards, and military music played the national peace of both countries.
On the sidelines of the fourth meeting of the Egyptian -Turkish Military Committee to enhance military cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance the aspects of military cooperation in the areas of training, transfer and exchange of experiences between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces, and the Chief of Staff of the two countries signed the minutes of the closing session of the committee.
The two sides confirmed their aspiration to increase the prospects for partnership and military cooperation between the two countries in many fields during the next stage.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa also met with the Turkish Minister of Defense, who conveyed to him the greetings and appreciation of the first team, Abdul Majeed Saqr, Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, expressing his pride in military relations between the two countries.
For his part, the Turkish Defense Minister praised the active role of Egypt for its international and regional surroundings in light of the current challenges and the need for joint work to confront these challenges in a way that achieves stability in the region.
On the sidelines of the visit, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces visited the shrine of the late President Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, and put a wreath of flowers on his grave.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa also met with the head of the Turkish Defense Industries Authority to discuss ways of joint cooperation, followed by the visit of a number of companies specialized in the field of defense industries, where he listened to the presentation of the introduction of the developed capabilities and manufacturing capabilities of these companies in a way that enhances the chances of exchanging experiences in the field of military manufacturing in a way that benefits both friendly countries.
He made an inspection tour of the leadership of the Turkish Special Forces, during which he witnessed the implementation of a number of practical data and training activities for the Turkish Special Forces.
