On this occasion, Professor Issa Ali Al -Shayji, President of the Bahraini Journalists Association, expressed his great thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, the country, preserved and sponsored him, for the great care and care of the association and the national press in light of the prosperous covenant of His Majesty, may God bless him, which was what he had the pivotal role in the launch of the Bahraini press towards the prospects With professionalism and competence.
Al -Shayji also valued the continuous support that His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, may God protect him, expressed his great thanks and appreciation to His Highness for his preference for the sponsorship of the association’s celebration of its silver jubilee and the Prime Minister of the Press Prize, based on his belief in the importance of the role of the press as an active partner in the development and prosperity process witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The president of the association emphasized that the celebration of the silver jubilee of the Bahraini Journalists Association represents an important historical station to honor the pioneers who contributed to the development of the first building blocks to establish this 24 -year -old press entity who formed the founding committee that met in March 2000, and they had the primary role in converting the idea into an integrated institution concerned with preserving the rights of journalists, enhancing professional values, independence, and institutional organization of journalistic work in the Kingdom.
During the ceremony, the first founders will be honored, namely: Anwar Abdul Rahman, Nabil Al -Hamr, Dr. Hilal Al -Shayji, Ali Sayyar, Ahmed Salman Kamal, Ibrahim Bashmi, Issa Al -Shaiji, Hamad Al -Mannai, Ali Saleh, Khaled Al -Zayani, Saeed Muhammad, Abdullah Al -Ayoubi, Ezzeddine Al -Moayad, Abdullah Salman, Ali Al -Thawadi, Salman Al -Ajmi, Jalil Omar, Khalil Youssef, Ahmed Al -Bousa, Sawsan Al -Shaer, Radhi, Burwin Nasrallah, and Issam Al -Mousawi.
Al -Shayji also pointed out that the ceremony will also witness the honoring of the supporting bodies and companies that stood by the association throughout its career, and contributed as a major partner to the success of many initiatives and professional, social and training programs, noting that this support contributed to enhancing the institutional sustainability of the association, and enabled it to continue its role as an independent platform that supports the freedom and development of the press.
The ceremony program will include a number of official words, in addition to the presentation of a documentary and archive film that highlights the process of establishing the association and its development within 25 years.
