The Arab League expressed its hope that this decision will follow additional steps from the international community to support the reconstruction efforts and enhance stability in Syria, stressing its commitment to support the Syrian people at this critical stage.

For his part, the Syrian Foreign Minister, Asaad Al -Shaibani, welcomed the American declaration, describing it as a “decisive turning point” for the Syrian people in his career towards stability and recovery.
