Engineer Mustafa Al -Sayyad, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, announced that the state is in the process of using about 4 thousand veterinary doctors during the coming period at the level of the Republic, in coordination with the Central Agency for Organization and Administration, in the context of supporting and activating the state’s plans in preventing diseases, achieving environmental balance, and promoting livestock.
Al -Sayyad, during his speech on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture in the celebration of the International Day of the Veterinary Doctor, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, said that the ministry is implementing an annual plan for the development of veterinary units, including the update of 1856 veterinary units, including units that were dilapidated.
He added that the first stage of the presidential initiative “a decent life” witnessed the establishment of 340 integrated agricultural units, which includes veterinary units that veterinary doctors are actually appointed.

He pointed out that the veterinarian is one of the main pillars in the public health system, through his role in combating common diseases, ensuring food quality in coordination with the Food Safety Authority, and participating in the vaccine system, as well as his role in the areas of animal welfare and environmental balance.
The Deputy Minister stressed that the ministry pays great attention to improving local breeds from cows due to their weak productivity compared to global strains, where 4 artificial vaccination centers were equipped, and the fifth place is completed, and the liquid nitrogen needed to work.
He pointed out that there are 632 small artificial vaccination centers at the village level, through which the vaccination is carried out and 4 sovereign fortifications annually to maintain animal health, stressing that “having equipped units without the presence of veterinarians hinders the implementation of the state plan.”
He also pointed to the issuance of a law for dangerous animals, pointing out that the state is dealing with the phenomenon of stray dogs in modern scientific ways, in coordination with the relevant authorities, and is currently working to provide the necessary support and doctors to conduct sterilization operations, in cooperation with the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate to cover the provinces and prevent the appearance of any epidemic foci.
