For his part, Mahmoud Dar, director of the Institute of Sea Science and Fisheries, said that this animal is a great wealth and its preparations are limited in the Red Sea, as it does not exceed 30 Dougong and is always present in Mubarak Marina, Abu Dabab and the beaches of the Wadi Al -Jamal Reserve.
In exclusive statements to Cairo 24, he pointed out that the first person to call the name of the sea bride was the pioneer of the world of sea sciences, Hamed Johar, and the local fishermen called it the name of the skin, and in the Arabian Gulf and the name most trading in the long and the scientific name for its C. Kawa.
He revealed that the female dugong gives birth and breastfeeding, and it is possible to live for a period between 80 and 100 years, and spends 16 months during the pregnancy in her fetus, and upon birth she spends 16 months in his care and breastfeeding, so that he can feed on marine weeds and reach a length of one and a half.
The former director of the Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries emphasized that one of the most important areas inhabited by the bride of the sea is a marina that is running south of the city of Marsa Alam by 14 kilometers, which was described as the magic and nature area, and is the most beautiful southern sequences, and it includes nearly 13 diving sites, which made it a starting point for all diving trips to those famous sites.
