Tamkeen “cooperates with” GB Morgan “to support national cadres at the International Technology Center

Tamkeen’s Labor Fund announced a cooperation agreement with the GB Morgan Bank to support national cadres at the International Technology Center in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will create 200 qualitative jobs for national cadres in the field of information technology, as support will include the employment and training of Bahraini cadres. This agreement emphasizes the importance of adopting strategic partnerships in support of innovation and digital transformation in the Kingdom, in addition to refining the skills of local competencies and increasing their competitiveness at the local and international levels.

This came during the meeting, which was attended by His Excellency Mr. Hamad bin Faisal Al -Maliki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Vice -Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labor Fund, His Excellency Mrs. Maha Abdel Hamid Moufiz, CEO of the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, Mr. Daniel Bento, President of GB Morgan Bank, Mr. Abdullah Al -Janahi, General Director of JP Morgan in the Kingdom of Bahrain and a number of officials, through which he reviewed the most prominent developments of the financial sector and the IT sector with emphasis Investing in national cadres in proportion to the needs of the labor market. After the meeting, and in their presence, the cooperation agreement was signed by the CEO of the Fund and the General Director of the JP Morgan in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The GB Morgan Center is one of the most advanced centers in the region and aims to create 200 qualitative jobs in multiple fields that include software engineering, information technology management, project management and data analysis. Specialized training will be provided to all employees working in the center, and a number of them will have the opportunity to join the “GB Morgan” bank in the United States and India, as part of the global practical training program to ensure the compatibility of local competencies skills with international standards.

The Kingdom of Bahrain has established its position as a regional financial technology center in the region, where the financial services sector is one of the largest contributions to the national economy, which contributed 17.7% in GDP according to the third quarter of last year, and the sector also includes more than 14 thousand employees in various fields and disciplines. Accordingly, this cooperation comes as an extension of the multiple business fund initiatives to support the financial services sector and the information technology sector and provide quality and rewarding job opportunities for local competencies in addition to acquiring practical experiences from world leading companies.

The choice of “GB Morgan” to establish the center in the Kingdom of Bahrain came because of the Kingdom’s incubator environment that is full of qualified national competencies and organizational regulations supporting growth and development in addition to continuous government support. The bank is also one of the largest financial institutions that employ technology in various fields of services around the world, and it is constantly improving and developing its software -based services.
