The Syrian Minister of Defense, Muhlaf Abu Qasra, announced through the X platform, a historical step aimed at uniting the military ranks in Syria, by integrating all military units under the umbrella of the Syrian Ministry of Defense.
The announcement, which came after the liberation of Syria, represents a turning point in the path of building state institutions, where the minister stressed the need for the remaining small military groups to join the ministry within a maximum period of 10 days, threatening to take legal measures against the retarded.
In his statement, Abu Qasra explained that this achievement comes as a culmination of continuous efforts to establish a unified national army that works within an organized institutional framework, stressing that “institutional work is the way to ensure the stability and security of Syria.”
He added that any delay in joining the Ministry will face appropriate legal procedures, in accordance with the laws in force, in reference to the government’s intention to impose order and strengthen the state’s authority.
