The Bahrain Center for Strategic and International Studies and Energy “Studies” organized a symposium on the occasion of a year anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of China, in the presence of His Excellency Ambassador Ni Roche, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of the anniversary of the year of the launch of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of China.
The event brought together a group of representatives of the visiting Chinese thought centers, and a number of officials and experts from the Bahraini national institutions, where four major discussion sessions that dealt with economic, cultural, educational, technical, and future relations prospects between the two countries witnessed.
Ambassador Dr. Muhammad Ghassan Sheikho, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the People’s Republic of China, in a visual intervention, through which he highlighted the most prominent cooperation stations between the two countries, and the growing role of Bahraini-Chinese relations.
Ambassador Ni Roche also delivered a speech in which he affirmed the depth of historical relations between the two countries, and the remarkable growth in the fields of economics, infrastructure, culture and education, noting the pivotal role played by the “Studies” center in supporting the frameworks of research cooperation and exchanging experiences between the two sides.
In the first session entitled “Relations between China and Bahrain”, the participants discussed aspects of bilateral cooperation and developments in political and economic relations between the two countries. As for the second session, titled “International Cooperation Frameworks”, it focused on ways to enhance cooperation within the multilateral frameworks and the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in international initiatives.
While the third session discussed, entitled “Exploring modern technologies”, emerging technological innovations and the possibilities of employing them in various sectors.
The sessions, in which representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Nasser Scientific and Technical Center, and Chinese research centers participated in the session “Promotion of Commercial Relations”, which dealt with opportunities to develop commercial and investment partnerships between the two countries.
The organization of this symposium comes in the context of the commitment of the “Studies” center to enhance cooperation with international thought centers, in line with the aspirations of the rational leadership in consolidating qualitative international partnerships, and opening new horizons for sustainable development in light of Bahrain’s economic vision 2030.
