Today, President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi is heading to the Greek capital, Athens, on an official visit to the Republic of Greece, in the context of strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries.

The spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic stated that during the visit, President Sayyid will hold a meeting with the Greek President, in addition to holding a session of talks with the Greek Prime Minister. The Egyptian side will also chair the first meeting of the high -level cooperation council between Egypt and Greece, with the participation of the Greek Prime Minister, Mr. Kyricus Mitsotakis, who will chair the Greek side at the meeting, where the council is scheduled to discuss ways to continue to enhance and develop bilateral relations and develop them in various fields, especially in the fields of energy, trade exchange, and economic cooperation. The visit will also witness the signing of the joint declaration on the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as a number of memoranda of understanding to enhance cooperation in areas of common concern.
Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, added that the meetings of the President with the Greek officials will include discussing the developments of regional and international issues of common concern and exchange of views on them.
After the end of his official visit to Greece, the President will go to the Russian capital, Moscow, to participate in the celebrations of Victory on the ninth of May, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
