His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and US President Donald Trump, chaired the works of the Saudi American Summit at the Royal Court in Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh today.
The Saudi Press Agency stated that during the summit, the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America were reviewed, and the coordination efforts to enhance the strategic partnership between the two friendly countries in various fields, in addition to discussing regional and international developments, issues of common concern and efforts towards it, in order to achieve security and stability.
After that, His Highness the Saudi Crown Prince and the American President signed the document of the strategic economic partnership between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the United States of America. His Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz and the American President also witnessed an exchange and announcement ceremony of a number of agreements and bilateral cooperation notes, as follows:
The first: A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Energy in the Kingdom and the Ministry of Energy in the United States of America to cooperate in the field of energy, which was received from the Saudi side, His Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, and from the American side, His Excellency the Minister of Energy, Mr. Chris Wright.
The second: An intention between the Ministry of Defense in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Defense in the United States of America regarding the modernization and development of the capabilities of the Saudi armed forces through future defense capabilities, which was received from the Saudi side, His Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, and from the American side, His Excellency the Minister of Defense, Mr. Beit Higseth.
Then a set of agreements and memoranda of understanding was announced: – A memorandum of cooperation in the field of mining and mineral resources between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Energy in the United States of America.
Signing a letter of intentions; To complete business and enhance joint cooperation, developing ammunition requirements, training, support services, maintenance, systems modernization, spare parts, and education for land and air systems of the Ministry of National Guard.
A memorandum of understanding between international partnership programs at the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Investigation Office (FBI) at the US Department of Justice.
– An intention between the Ministry of Defense in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Defense in the United States of America regarding the development of the health capabilities of the Saudi Armed Forces.
A Memorandum of Understanding for Judicial Cooperation between the Ministry of Justice in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Justice in the United States of America.
– An executive agreement between the Saudi Space Agency in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Air Navigation and Space Administration (NASA) in the United States of America to cooperate in the Ciop Sat Project for Space Weather within the Artemis 2 mission.
– An agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the United States of America on mutual assistance between the customs administration in the two countries. Protocol to amend an agreement on air transport between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the United States of America.
– A memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the National Institute for Health Research in the Kingdom and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the United States of America in the field of medical research on infectious diseases.
– A cooperation agreement between the Royal Commission in Al -Ula Governorate and the Smithsonian Foundation through the National Institute of the Zoo and Biology for the Preservation of the Environment.
– A cooperation agreement between the Royal Commission for the Governorate of Al -Ula and the Smithsonian Foundation through the National Museum of Asian Arts.
