At a time when the media intermarried with technology, fraud and fraud, which we saw many forms, are no longer a dark alley or suspicious faces, today and with technological development; It is sufficient to register an unknown account on a social media platform, a bright phone or a seductive electronic device at a price “Uniform”, until hundreds fall into a trap woven with the threads of illusion and greed.
Recently, I received complaints and communications from a large number of colleagues and friends demanding that they shed light on the recent spread of many fake accounts, at a disturbing pace, which claim to sell abayas, beauty products, electronic devices, phones and electrical appliances, and everything that can occur to mind, at attractive prices less than the market, or even with easy installments.
These accounts are delusional of the followers of “special” offers, and sometimes they claim that they represent major stores, or provide free and fast delivery services, but as soon as the required amounts are transferred, the dream evaporates, and the victim finds himself banned, without a device and without money and without a clear way to recover his right.
The problem is not only at the limits of theft; Rather, it goes beyond the absence of censorship and the existence of a legal gap that was, until recently, gives these fraudsters a wide space to tamper with the safety of people and their confidence, and here the importance of the new press law, which is not limited to organizing media work only, also deals with the organization of advertising content on social media platforms, in a long -awaited step.
This law, which we hope will be activated seriously as soon as possible, may be a deterrent to everyone who manipulates the consumer under the cloak of a “commercial advertisement”, and gives the regulators a clear mechanism to pursue fake accounts and hold their owners accountable.
But the law alone is not sufficient, for the real bet remains on societal awareness, and here comes the role of the concerned authorities and various media institutions, and which is upon itself to launch continuous awareness campaigns, warns of these accounts, and explains to people how to distinguish between the real and delusive advertiser, and how they protect themselves digitally from falling into the traps of psychological and material bankruptcy.
The fake accounts exceeded that they are merely a technical problem, but rather a public opinion issue that affects society’s confidence in the platforms it uses daily, and the importance of confronting them begins with the law, but it is only complete with the responsible media and coherent societal awareness.

Unfortunately; Those behind these fake accounts think that they are achieving gains, unaware of a simple and profound fact at the same time, which is that if they really realize that life is short, and that what they collect of money in illegal ways is not equal to anything in front of human dignity and hand cleaning, they would not have done it.
