The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in the lake, headed by Muhammad Hadiya, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, launched intensive campaigns at the Abu al -Matamir and Nubaria centers, within the intensification of rationing campaigns on markets and commercial facilities, and monitoring the movement of strategic commodities trading, especially the local wheat supplier, to ensure its use for it only, and to confront any violations that affect food security.
Seizure of more than 12 tons of wheat inside a feed store for use for the purposes of the lake
The campaigns resulted in the seizure of large quantities of local wheat inside feed stores, for use for the purposes allocated to them, in violation of the law, where 9693 tons of local wheat were seized 2025 season, which was seized inside one of the feed stores in Abu Al -Matamir and Nubaria.
Also, 2,630 tons of wheat mixed with feed were seized, which were seized in one of the shops in Abu al -Matamir, and the necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators.
Dr. Jacqueline Azar, the governor of the lake, stressed the importance of intensifying control campaigns to prevent wheat from trading outside the legal frameworks, using it for other purposes, or smuggling it outside the provinces illegally.
