Sinbillawain General Hospital succeeded in performing an urgent urgent surgery that saved a sick hand of the almost complete amputation, using the surgical microscope to re -connect the tendons, link the arteries to restore the bloody irrigation, and repair the peripheral nerves with accurate microscopic threads.

Dr. Tamer Madkour, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia, said that the patient arrived in the emergency department in a critical condition, with almost complete amputation in the right hand as a result of a severe injury with a severe machine, which affected the tendons, arteries and peripheral nerves, in addition to the bones and the shell joint, with severe bleeding and almost complete loss of sensation and movement.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al -Bili, Undersecretary of the Directorate of therapeutic Medicine, explained that the medical team was treated quickly and efficiently with the condition, as the patient was transferred directly to the operating room, and the surgery was performed using the surgical microscope to re -connect the tendons, link the arteries to restore the bloody irrigation, and repair the peripheral nerves with accurate microscopic threads.
He pointed out that the surgery was successful, and the patient came out of it in a stable condition with a gradual improvement in the feeling and movement, and was entered into an integrated rehabilitation program under the supervision of the hospital’s physiotherapy team.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry thanked and appreciated the medical team executing the operation led by Dr. Ahmed Badran, Director of the Hospital, Dr. Mahmoud Reda Zaghloul, Orthopedic and Hand Surgery Specialist, Dr. Ahmed Khaled, Head of Vascular Department, and Dr. Adel Muwafi, Head of the Department of Anesthesia, along with the nursing team led by Sama Rashad, Head of Nursing.
At the conclusion of his statement, Madkour stressed that this model reflects the readiness of health hospitals in Dakahlia to deal with fine emergency cases, and is a new achievement added to the record of continuous successes for the government health sector in the governorate.
