Representative Ahmed Al -Salloum, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives, raised the highest congratulations and blessings to all journalists and workers in the media and press institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on the occasion of the Bahraini Press Day, which falls on the seventh of May of each year, praising the important and pivotal roles of the national press in the service of the country and the citizen.
Al -Salloum emphasized that the Bahraini press represents an essential pillar in supporting the development process and the comprehensive reformist approach that the Kingdom of Bahrain is pursuing under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the country, may God protect and preserve him, and the support and care it enjoys from his majesty, and from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, may God protect him Patriotism is free and professional.
The deputy pointed out that the House of Representatives, as one of the two wings of the legislative authority, believes in the vital role played by the press in consolidating transparency and promoting the national dialogue, stressing its personal commitment, supportive and supportive position, to update the legislative system concerned with the media.
In this context, he affirmed his support for the issuance of a new law for the press that keeps pace with technical and media developments and preserves media rights and freedoms, and enhances the climate of journalistic work in the Kingdom.
Al -Salloum concluded his statement by emphasizing that the celebration of the Bahraini Press Day is a national occasion to pride in the achievements of the press cadres, and the renewal of the covenant by continuing its support and enabling it in the performance of its noble mission and achieving the aspirations of the press body in overcoming all obstacles and challenges that hinder their way in an effort to achieve more organizational frameworks that facilitate their work and increase their loyal and dedicated giving to our dear homeland.
