Russia has announced that it had intercepted on Tuesday night to about 150 Ukrainian aircraft, in a rare attack in terms of its intensity and scope, especially the capital, Moscow, as it caused disturbances in the air navigation movement.
After Ukraine has been subjected to unprecedented Russian bombing in terms of intensity, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced in a leaflet on the Telegram application that its air defenses “destroyed and fully intercepted 112 Ukrainian aircraft” between nine o’clock and midnight (18:00 and 21.00 GMT, including 59 aircraft over the Breansk region alone (southwest).
Later, Moscow mayor Sergey Sobianin announced, in a series of publications on social media, the shooting down of 33 drones that were on its way to the capital. Although the Russian army announces daily dozens of Ukrainian running aircraft, their number is rarely high to this extent, as it is rarely targeting Moscow, which is hundreds of kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
In recent days, the pace of these attacks on the Russian capital has increased, which led to disturbances in the air navigation movement. On Wednesday dawn, the navigation movement was suspended at the three Moscow airports, which are Sherimito, Fnokovo and Jokovsky, according to the Air Transport Regulatory Authority.
On the other hand, Ukraine announced that intense Russian air strikes targeted it since Saturday and killed 13 people. On Tuesday-Wednesday, the ruler of the Ukrainian border region of Kharkif, with Russia, Oleg Sinigobov, reported eight people, including a four-year-old girl, in a Russian attack by a running plane.
The Russian army said that its strikes in Ukraine came “in response” to Ukrainian attacks with drones that caused losses among Russian civilians.
