The Russian capital, Moscow, is preparing to host the 13th international meeting of senior representatives responsible for security issues, during the period from 27 to 29 May, with the wide participation of African countries and regional organizations.
45 mission representing more than 40 African countries, along with major international organizations, including the African Union and the International Development Authority (find), confirmed their participation in the meeting that will be chaired by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergei Shojo, according to the Russian embassy in Cairo.
On the sidelines of the meeting, a special meeting will be held to discuss the prospects for strengthening relations between Russia and African countries, based on the outputs of the recent Russian-African summits, amid a common interest in developing security, political and economic cooperation.

In a statement issued by the media administration of the Russian Security Council, it was indicated that global geopolitical changes have become directly affecting the interests of the southern countries, especially Africa, whose voice has become heard in the international scene, with its keenness to formulate an foreign policy that serves their people and protects its sovereignty, which Russia supports clearly and continuously.
This meeting reflects the continuation of the momentum in Russian-African relations, in light of the transformations of the international system and the multiplicity of its centers, and the increasing aspirations of the brown continent to achieve balanced and multilateral partnerships.
