Informed sources revealed that the Hamas movement agreed to the proposal of the United States Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkeov, which confirms the permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Despite the talk about Hamas’s approval, the Hebrew Channel 14 reported that an Israeli source said that Israel refused to offer Hamas to release 10 hostages and 70 days in the Gaza Strip, and that reports of Hamas’s approval of a proposal and Yakouf are only propaganda.
While Steve Witkev, US President Donald Trump’s envoy to the Middle East, in a statement to Walla Al -Abri, claimed that Israel had agreed to negotiate a permanent ceasefire.
According to the American website, Oxius, Witkeov denies the declaration of Hamas by agreeing to his proposal regarding the prisoner exchange and ceasefire deal in Gaza.
Egypt intensifies contacts to stop the Gaza war
An official Egyptian source confirmed that the Egyptian -Qatari -American coordination continued on the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip and the exchange of detainees between Israel and Hamas.
The source added: Egypt demands the two parties to express the necessary flexibility to reach an agreement to face the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, according to the Cairo News Channel.
The source pointed out that there are extensive Egyptian contacts in order to bring the perspectives of the parties concerned to return to calm, noting that contacts are ongoing with all parties in an attempt to reach an agreement as soon as possible.
