Rabbi Meir Hirsch, one of the most prominent leaders of the Jewish “Naturi Carta” group against Zionism, described the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip as a horrific crime against humanity committed in the name of the Jewish people.
“We, the Jews, from the occupied city of Jerusalem and around the world, are strongly condemning the war crimes committed by the thirsty Zionist occupation army in Gito Gito and the West Bank.”
He added that «obscene killing and cold blood for men, women and innocent children, the injury of hundreds of men, women and children, displacing thousands of their homes and preventing them from providing them with the necessary human needs,” which starkly contradicts human rights and Jewish teachings, as he put it.
He stressed that the Israeli army follows the policy of ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, calling for an immediate endowment of the war in Gaza and respect for human rights throughout the Palestinian territories.
And “Natouri Carta” is a Jewish religious movement against Zionism, and does not recognize the State of Israel on the occupied Palestinian territories, and considers that the establishment of a state of Jews does not take away another people of its land, and it is only with the permission of the Lord.
About 5,000 Jews of the “Naturi Carta” group live in the “Hundred Shaarim” neighborhood in the center of Jerusalem, and because of their opposition to Zionism, they are exposed to continuous prosecutions by the Israeli authorities.
The number of people belonging to the movement is estimated at tens of thousands, most of whom live in the United States, specifically in the famous Brooklyn neighborhood of New York.
