The head of the Prosecution of the Ministries and Public Authorities stated that the Public Prosecution received a number of reports from the Ministry of Education regarding the results of the field visits reports implemented by the competent examination and inspection teams of a number of educational institutions in various regions of the Kingdom of Bahrain from monitoring six special institutions that provide educational services without obtaining the necessary licenses.
Where it was found that these institutions offer educational programs in various academic specializations for a group of students between the ages of three and eighteen years, and their number in some of these institutions reaches sixty students, in which the safety and binding instructions that are supposed to adhere to kindergarten are not observed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children. Violations included the absence of basic preventive measures, poor safety equipment, and lack of adherence to the Protocols approved to protect children within these facilities, which posed a direct threat to their safety and the safety of their employees.
The Public Prosecution began its investigations as soon as the reports were received, as the defendants were interrogated in these facts, and it was ordered to be imprisoned for a precaution pending investigations. The Public Prosecution also ordered the closure of the violating educational institutions, listened to the statements of the witnesses and the investigations are being completed in preparation for referring the defendants to the criminal trial.
