During his speech, the President of Cairo University explained that the cHorses Al -Ahlia is a natural extension of the march of developing higher education, stressing that Cairo University, which is the first private university in the history of Egypt, was one of the first inspiring models in this direction, before it turned into a public university later.
He pointed out that there are about 12 new private universities that were established from the womb of public universities, within the framework of the state’s vision to expand university education, raise its efficiency in line with international standards, and meet the needs of the changing labor market.
Dr. Abdel -Sadiq emphasized that private universities possess great advantages, the most prominent of which is to overcome traditional patterns in the administration of public universities, and to grant greater flexibility in contracting with faculty members and workers according to time periods that are renewed based on efficiency, in addition to their ability to provide modern educational programs that are closely related to the industry and the labor market, and at an appropriate cost for students, which contributes to building qualified and capable cadres Locally and internationally.
He added that the relationship between the public university and the National University is an integrative relationship, especially since the non -profit civil universities are established and established by legal authorities with the aim of supporting the national educational system, which is reflected in the existence of distinguished academic programs and international partnerships that enhance the quality of the educational process, and contribute to improving the ranking of Egyptian universities on the indicators of the world rankings.
The President of Cairo University concluded his speech by emphasizing the importance of continuing institutional and legislative support for private universities, in order to ensure the sustainability of its pioneering role in developing higher education, and achieving the goals of the state in building the knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurship society.
