Dr. Rania Al -Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, delivered the word Egypt at the economic and social development summit, which was held in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, headed by President Abdel Latif Rashid, President of the Republic of Iraq, and with the participation of official delegations from Arab countries, and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary -General of the League of Arab States.

The text of the word came as follows: Our summit is held today in a very accurate historical circumstance in which our Arab region faces complex and dangerous challenges and crises, and this milestone must be solidized on common goals to achieve the interests of our Arab nation.
The profound and established historical, cultural and religious ties that unite us, and the values of our Arab civilization, the values of brotherhood and solidarity, make it necessary for us to enhance solidarity between our countries to achieve security, peace and prosperity in our region, and to enhance joint Arab action, which is one of the main tools for resolving crises facing our sister countries.
Perhaps one of the most important factors that enhances the importance of pushing cooperation between Arab countries is the clear fact that we all share concerns, and we face the same challenges, despite the variation of capabilities and capabilities. There is no doubt that the integration between our countries will enhance our collective ability to confront shocks, which all countries of the world have suffered without exception in recent years.
I look forward to the current session of the Economic and Social Development Council at the level of the summit formed a decisive turning point to upgrade our joint Arab work to the level that achieves the hopes of our Arab peoples, and supports our ability to deal with the challenges that our nation faces, especially since the current session of the economic and social development summit addresses various immediate and urgent issues that concern our Arab peoples and directly affects the life of the Arab citizen in various fields, whether Economy, development, environment, or energy, as well as dealing with issues that have become of great international attention, the most prominent of which are artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, which may provide creative and innovative solutions to some of the challenges before our Arab region.
Our meeting today is of particular importance in view of the multiple challenges on the regional and international arenas, which have had repercussions on the global economy and the paths of Arab economic growth, and the disturbances that the region are going through and multiple international challenges led to a negative impact on global supply chains, which led to the high prices of products and foodstuffs to record levels, which resulted in the acceleration of the frequency of inflationary pressures in a way that threatens the foundations of food security And energy in many of our Arab countries.
In this context, it seems clear that the ability of Arab countries to face the challenges imposed by the current and future economic fluctuations will be highly mortgaged to our ability to double and unify efforts to enhance solidarity, cooperation and Arab economic integration, upgrading inter -trade rates, and deepening the bonds of economic coordination between the countries of the region in a way that contributes to increasing the durability and flexibility of our economies in light of a global economic and trade environment Risks and fluctuations.
Therefore, we suspend great hopes for this session to come up with positive decisions that enhance the achievements and gains made within the framework of the joint Arab social and economic work, and contribute to achieving the aspirations of our Arab peoples in prosperity and prosperity.
