In a scene that is frequently repeated within the corridors of the Egyptian second division, Osama Rabie, the Minya club defender, embodies a real example of the struggle and challenge, after he was forced to return to the construction profession after the end of the Premier League competition in February.
Osama, the son of Minya Governorate, is not satisfied with defending the colors of his club inside the green rectangle, but rather heavy responsibilities outside the stadium, where he works in the construction profession daily to secure a living for him and his family, in the absence of the stable professional contracts for most of the second -class players.
Although football represents a great dream of it, the difficult economic conditions imposed a different reality, reflecting the size of the suffering that most of the excellent players live in after the end of the football season, where salaries and rewards stop, and many of them are forced to search for an alternative source of income.
Osama Rabie is not an individual case, but rather a repeated model in the Egyptian stadiums, where the players fight for the dream of ascending and professionalism, and at the same time they face the pressures of daily life with unnoticed persistence.
