It is expected that the meeting will witness a great club between the two teams, in light of the distinguished performance that each of them presented during the tournament’s journey, and Al -Ahly, the defending champion, seeks to continue its series of victories and qualify for the final, while Sporting aspires to turn expectations and reach the final match.
In the same context, the Egyptian Basketball Federation, headed by Amr Moselhi, announced the dates of the Egyptian Cup semi -finals for the Sports season 2024/2025, all of which are held at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Hall in 6th of October City.
In the second match of the semi -finals, Al -Ittihad of Alexandria will meet with Zamalek, at exactly nine o’clock in the same day, and the two winners of the two games will qualify for the final meeting, scheduled for next Thursday evening, May 8, at exactly nine o’clock, to be preceded by the third and fourth place at six thirty in the evening.
On the level of women’s competitions, the first basketball team won the women of Al-Ahly Club, the Egyptian Cup, after its great victory over Sporting 99-64, in the final match they gathered today, and “Al-Ahly Ladies” presented a strong performance throughout the meeting, advanced in all periods, to achieve the title for the third season in a row, and they complete the local trio after crowning the linked league and the Super Cup.
