Real Madrid announced today, Sunday, that Xabi Alonso will be the coach of the first football team of the Royal Club, during the next three seasons, from June 1, 2025 to June 30, 2028.
He added: Xabi Alonso is one of the greatest legends of Real Madrid and world football. He defended our shirt in 236 official games, between 2009 and 2014. During that period, he won six titles: the tenth European Cup in Lisbon, the European Super Cup once, one title in the Spanish League, two titles in the King’s Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup once.
He continued: Xabi Alonso is also the legend of the Spanish national team, with whom he won the World Cup once (2010) and the European Championship twice (2008 and 2012), in 113 international matches.
