Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed the elimination of the leader of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip, Mohamed Sinwar, the younger brother of the late movement leader Yahya Al -Sinwar, and one of the most important wanted persons for Israel.
Netanyahu’s allegations came in a speech to the Knesset today, Wednesday.
Israeli allegations of the assassination of Muhammad Al -Sinwar
The Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz claimed last Sunday the killing of Muhammad al -Sinwar, after ambiguity about his fate, after an Israeli attack a few days ago on Gaza.
Netanyahu said in a press conference a few days ago, that the occupation army – apparently – eliminated Muhammad al -Sinwar, the prominent leader of the martyr Izz al -Din al -Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
Israel carried out an attack to assassinate the Sinwar when the warplanes launched a series of synchronous raids on the vicinity of the European Gaza Hospital, east of Khan Yunis Governorate, on the evening of May 13, and the army then announced that it was targeting a tunnel that was inside.
Although the occupation army prevented the rescue crews from reaching the place, and the targeting of drones, everyone who tries to approach it with the aim of eliminating the chances of surviving any injured person, this did not confirm Israel’s success in achieving its goal of killing Sinwar.
