His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of Babco Enege, expressed his deep regret as a result of the incident that occurred on Friday morning, May 2, 2025, in one of the refinery units at Bapco Refining Company, and resulted in the death of two employees, and the injury of another employee who is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at the Salmaniya Medical Complex.
His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa sent his condolences to the families of the employee Muhammad Ibrahim (Bahraini), and the employee Diane Coca (Serbi), who died as a result of the accident.
His Highness affirmed the commitment of Babco Enemz to provide full support to the families of the deceased and those affected by this incident, praising His Highness the cooperation of the Ministry of Interior through the rapid response to the response teams of the Ministry, the General Administration of Civil Defense, and the emergency teams with Babco Refining Company, and the speed of their dealings with the accident according to the in place in the applicable protocol, and to take all the necessary precautionary measures according to the highest international standards To prevent accidents and everyone’s safety.
His Highness explained that the safety of employees is a top priority, and Babco Enemz is always keen with all its subsidiaries in a hard way to enhance safety standards in all facilities, as this stage requires everyone to cooperate and participate in supporting efforts to improve the work environment and ensure the safety of everyone.
