Mercedes executive officials stated that the company will add the production of the Mercedes GLC sporting multi -use (SUV) to North America at its factory in Tusciaosa, Alabama.
Mercedes adds the production of the GLC in the Alabama factory
Earlier this month, the German auto company announced that it would enter a new car to the Alabama factory in 2027, which enhances its commitment to the United States of America.
The cars abroad have always been a major axis in the world trade war launched by US President Donald Trump, in early April, the Trump administration imposed 25% customs duties on car imports.
The Mercedes GLC is made at the Bremen Factory, Germany, which includes 10 models.
According to Reuters, a Mercedes spokesman stated that major changes are not expected in the average total production numbers in Bremen in the medium term, and Bremen will continue to produce GLC for the rest of the world. “The Alabama factory will allocate GLC to meet the demand in North America.
This step will expand production at the Alabama factory, a Mercedes SUV production center, including GLE, GLS, GLE Coupe and GLS.
