Maha Moufiz: “Tamkeen” support “the private” with 2.4 billion dinars

The CEO of the Labor Fund “Tamkeen”, Maha Moufiz, confirmed that the fund has pumped more than 2.4 billion dinars since its establishment in supporting the private sector, within the framework of a national strategy aimed at empowering the Bahraini citizen and enhancing his role in the labor market.

This support included multiple fields, including support for Bahraini employees, and contributing to the establishment of companies, in addition to helping the institutions based on expansion and development, which reflects positively on the national economy.

Her statements came during her participation in the “Towards a Comprehensive and Sustainable Economic Development” forum, where she highlighted the results achieved from “Tamkeen” programs, noting that more than 180 thousand Bahraini benefited directly from the various initiatives and programs launched by the fund, which aim to qualify national competencies and enable them to compete in the labor market.

She pointed out that about 82 thousand companies and institutions in Bahrain have benefited from the fund’s support, reflecting the real partnership between “Tamkeen” and the private sector.

Moufiz stressed that the main goal of the work of “Tamkeen” is to consolidate the location of the Bahraini citizen as a first and favorite option in the labor market, and to enhance his contribution to advancing economic development, stressing that this trend reflects the national vision aimed at building a sustainable economy based on innovation and diversity.

The CEO indicated that today the private sector represents the primary engine to provide jobs for citizens, as it embraces more than 103 thousand Bahraini employees, a number that exceeds the jobs provided by the public sector, which does not exceed 50 thousand jobs. She pointed out that this difference confirms the vital role that the private sector plays in creating job opportunities and achieving balance in the Bahraini labor market.

She noted that “Tamkeen” will continue his efforts to support individuals and institutions and enhance the efficiency of the national workforce, in a manner that guarantees sustainability and development in various sectors, stressing the importance of strengthening partnerships between government and private agencies.
