Alaa Madara, President of the Bahrain Basketball Federation, considered a member of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Conceptions of the International Basketball Federation “Fiba” and the ceremony honoring celebrities, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period from 14 to 18 May 2025, this global event represents a historical station in the game’s march in the Kingdom, and embodies the advanced position that Bahrain occupies on the global basketball map, especially since Bahrain is the first country in the Gulf and the East The middle hosts this high meeting.
On this occasion, Madara expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and to His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Bahrain is among the ranks of developed countries in this field.
He stressed that the continuous support of sports leadership is the cornerstone of the Bahrain Basketball Federation in attracting such high -level events.
The President of the Basketball Federation also valued the confidence of His Highness Sheikh Issa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Vice -Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the “Fiba” of hosting this important international event.
He said that the convening of the Concems meeting of the International Basketball Federation in Manama for the first time, in addition to organizing a ceremony honoring celebrities for the year 2025, opens to the Bahraini Federation with spacious horizons to document its relations with civil federations from all over the world, and gives him a unique opportunity to conclude strategic partnerships and cooperation agreements that contribute to developing the game locally and regional.
He pointed out that the Bahrain Basketball Federation put all its capabilities in serving this great event, and harnessed all its human and technical resources to ensure an ideal organization that reflects an honorable image of Bahrain and its advanced organizational capabilities.
He added: “In this context, the Pico Global Group specialized in organizing events was contracted to provide the necessary logistical services in line with international standards, and to provide a distinct experience for the Kingdom’s guests of union officials, honorable stars and media.”
Madara emphasized that all the working committees continue to work hard in preparation for this event, in direct coordination with the Bahrain Olympic Committee and with the support of the official and private authorities, including the General Authority for Sports and the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, in order to ensure that the hosting comes out in the best image that reflects the Kingdom’s ambition and leadership in organizing major sporting events.
He noted that the Bahraini Federation will continue to work with determination and dedication to the success of Congress, in order to establish Bahrain’s position as an advanced center for the sports decision -making at the global basketball level.
