Today, Saturday, the Lebanese army announced that its intelligence directorate received from the Syrian authorities, one of the main involved in the kidnapping and killing of the official in the “Lebanese Forces” Pascal Suleiman, last year.
The army said in a statement published by the Lebanese News Agency that “the arrested person leads to a gang of kidnapping, theft and forgery, and a large number of arrest warrants have the right, and the investigation was began with him under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
The statement was satisfied with mentioning “A.N.” in reference to the name of the arrested, while Lebanese media published his name, named Ahmed Nun, and described it as the mastermind of the crime.
She stated that with “the surrender of Nun and besides the other four detainees, all the ingredients to show the truth in the case of Suleiman’s assassination are completed.”
In April of last year, a gang of Syrian nationality, Suleiman, who was occupying the coordinator of the Lebanese Forces Party in the Jbeil region, was kidnapped, to be found later, inside the Syrian territories.
Solomon’s kidnapping and killing angered in the Jbeil area, from which he was located. Hundreds of Lebanese forces supporters cut off the roads at the time.
The Lebanese Forces Party considered that the killing of the party’s official, “a political assassination to prove the opposite,” explaining that the killing was done intentionally and intent, and for a previous perception and design.
The assassination sparked accusations of the Hezbollah militia of being behind it, especially since the Lebanese party and forces are political hostility.
