Challenges have pivotal implications for the concepts and gains of the foundations of the labor movement, represented in technology domination of all the productive and service economies engines, especially with the sweeping of the economic intelligence, the economic sectors, bypassing the productive tools to become a competitor to intellectual creativity.
Artificial intelligence is not only competing and removed many jobs after being accounted for under automation and digital, but also changed the concept of “work” itself. The traditional division between mental work and manual work is no longer a line between them in its system.
This system, which is among one of its repercussions that the work became more flexible in terms of time and space, which made there a mixture between personal life and professional duties, and there is no specific limit, and therefore there is no principle of balance between them and it has a lack of retaining the right to the maximum working hours against the minimum wage as a gain that has pushed many workers their lives and freedoms in order to achieve it in the path of struggle dating back to the beginning of the nineteenth century.
Among the repercussions also is that workers are more vulnerable to economic fluctuations, lack of stability and stability of their material gain, due to the emergence and spread of temporary contracts or self -employment through platforms.
Thus, there has become a social threat of another kind of no less dangerous than unemployment, which is the lack of life safety of workers regarding the accelerated development of digital technology, especially what is known as artificial intelligence.
Will the matter lead to a new orientation of workers’ movements to keep pace with the changes that demand that it create mechanisms to keep pace with variables that protect against unemployment and repel damage from technological developments?
