The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced that “in a new security achievement and based on the principle of cooperation and joint coordination between the General Administration of Narcotics Control and the General Administration of Customs, the controls of control were able to thwart an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of narcotic substances, which was coming to the country from the United Kingdom, in the context of continuous efforts to address the scourge of drugs and protect society from its risks.” The ministry stated in a statement that «this seizure comes as a continuation of the ongoing investigations in case No. (905/2025) drug crimes, which resulted in the arrest of the accused in the drug (lawyer) case with two people, and after completing the accurate and intensive investigations, it resulted in the seizure of a shipment coming to the country through air freight, containing 50 thousand capsules of prohibited lerya material, and 3 kilograms of substance Hashish, and 4 kilograms of liquid substance suspected of narcotics, after the accused, the lawyer, provided the controls of the seized charge, which belongs to the fugitive accused, Mohamed Rashid.
She stated that «the investigations revealed that the main suspect in sending this shipment to Kuwait is called (Mohammed Rashid) – Kuwaiti nationality, born in 2001, and he is a fugitive accused who is currently residing in the United Kingdom, and has a criminal record that includes 3 orders to control and bring in charges of cases, in addition to a judicial ruling issued against him in the absence of absence for a period of 5 years and enforcement.
In its statement, the ministry indicated that “it was found to the fighting men through information that the fugitive accused was planning to distribute these toxins and spread them among young people inside the country, with the help of a group of his assistants inside the country, in an attempt to target the group most vulnerable to influence these dangerous materials.”
The Ministry of Interior stressed that “the security services are continuing their efforts to control the rest of the involved and pursue the fugitive accused through the approved legal and international channels,” stressing that “the hand of the law will affect all those who begged themselves to tamper with the security of the homeland and the safety of his youth.”
