In a sudden and emotional dialogue that spanned more than 30 minutes, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, exceeded the timing agreed in advance with the BBC team, and opened the door wide to talk about his deep family differences, and his explicit criticism of the British Royal Corporation, just hours after losing a legal battle on his security arrangements within the United Kingdom.

The dialogue, which was conducted in one of the real estate near his home in Monteesito, California, and in direct coordination from the Director of Communications to the “Archwell” Foundation, Merridith Mins, was registered without his wife Megan Markle, who did not publicly appear next to him for three years of judicial battles.

The prince’s media source described as a shriek, but he was keen to talk, and signs of tension appeared to him, such as his frequent stirring of his feet during the dialogue.

In rare moments of frankness, Prince Harry talked about his desire to reconcile with his father, King Charles III, who said he was “refusing to talk to him,” noting that “life is precious, and he does not know how much time remains for his father.

He added that there are those who will not be forgiven, but there is no point in continuing the fighting, describing the judicial ruling as institutional betrayal, and has been disturbed by concerns that the tragedy of his mother, Princess Diana, who was killed in a tragic accident in Paris in 1997.

He emphasized: I do not want history to repeat itself, and I discovered during this battle that someone really wishes to repeat history itself.

The Royal Court was accused of using security arrangements as a “prison” of family members

The tone of criticism escalated in his statements, as the Royal Court accused the use of security arrangements as a means of imprisoning members of the royal family, and preventing them from choosing a different life, expressing his grief for his inability to introduce his children to the land of his homeland.

He said: I love my country and I will remain so, despite what some people did there, before concluding: I miss the United Kingdom, it is painful not to be able to take my children to see my hometown.

The meeting, which some considered to be similar to his famous mother’s interview with Martin Bashir, opened a new wave of controversy inside the Kingdom, especially in light of the health conditions that King Charles is going through.

Despite the confirmation of the Buckingham Palace in a brief statement that “the courts looked at the case accurately and reached the same result at a time,” the prince’s statements were broken as a new escalation in the course of the dispute that began since the withdrawal of the couple from the royal family in 2020.

In the midst of these tensions, the question of reconciliation between the prince and his father remains pending, in light of the divergence of positions, the intensification of judicial battles, and the absence of any indications of an imminent calm on the horizon.
