Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, announced the success of a medical team from the Department of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University in joint fruitful cooperation with the Department of Cardiology and Chest surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University in replacing the entire three -year -old aorta valve for a patient using Ozaki technology, which is the latest global technology in cardiac and chest surgery, for the first time in the university hospitals of Tanta At the new surgical hospital, under the patronage of Dr. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, President of Tanta University.
Details of the surgery
The Dean of Tanta Medicine confirmed that the Department of Cardiology and Chest Surgery at the New Surgeries Hospital received a patient in the fifth decade of age suffering from severe aortic valve, and the surgery was successfully performed in 4 hours inside the operations sector in the new surgical hospital.
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, emphasized that the success of the Ozaki technology in Tanta University Hospitals for the first time in relation to the Japanese surgeon, who he performed for the first time in the world, and is a boom in heart valve surgeries, during which the entire aortic valve was completely replaced by using the tamor -surrounding membrane texture.
