On Wednesday, Israel announced that 100 trucks of the United Nations humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip, after it allowed the passage of 93 trucks on Tuesday and about ten trucks on Monday after more than two and a half months of the suffocating siege of the war sector.
“Today, Wednesday, a hundred United Nations trucks and the international community were entered, carrying humanitarian assistance – including flour, children’s food and medical supplies – to the Gaza Strip through the Karam Abu Salem crossing,” the Israeli Ministry of Defense Cage Agency said in a statement.
On Sunday, the Israeli Council of Ministers approved the resumption of the entry of aid to Gaza, after American pressure. Israel has stopped entering aid to Gaza, since early March.
The Palestinians in Gaza are still waiting for food to arrive on Wednesday, and the residents of the Strip are on the brink of famine, after a 11 -week siege, according to Reuters.
According to Israeli military statistics, less than 100 aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip, since yesterday, when the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to lift the siege on the residents of the Strip.
