The work of the bishop of Europe, in the presence of His Holiness, Pope Tawadros II, was launched in the Romanian capital Bucharest, as part of the pastoral visit of his holiness to the diocese of central Europe.
The meeting, which brings the fathers of the bishops of the Orthodox Coptic Church dioceses in Europe, discusses the issue of “the service of the Coptic Church in European countries”, where the bishops participate, with each other, their experiences and experiences in the care of the Coptic Church people deployed in the European continent.

His Holiness, during today’s sessions, listens to the reports of the bishops about the conditions of service in their diocese, the challenges they face, and ways to develop pastoral work and ecclesiastical activities to meet the needs of Copts residing abroad.
The convening of this meeting comes within the framework of the Church’s keenness, led by His Holiness, to follow up on the service of its children in the Diaspora, support the efforts of the bishops in their pastoral and educational mission, and to enhance joint cooperation between the Coptic diocese in Europe.
It is noteworthy that this meeting, which is held for the first time in the diocese of central Europe, is witnessing the participation of 12 parents of our church in Europe, out of 15 bishops, in light of the empty chairs of the two bishops after the departure of their bishops, and the third apology for health conditions.
