The Coventry University branch, hosted by the International Knowledge Universities Foundation in Cairo, witnessed the launch of the third edition of the annual engineering trip exhibition, under the slogan of the engineering trip, in a distinguished event that combined creativity, leadership, and academic ambition.
The exhibition started with a wide presence of students, graduates, academics, and prominent leaders in the industrial sector, with the aim of discussing ways to convert academic knowledge into influential pioneering projects.
This exhibition comes after 3 years of continuous success, as the engineering journey exhibition continues to establish its position as a pivotal event in the branch of the University of Coventry in Cairo, which reflects its commitment to the graduation of creative engineers and initiatives who contribute to the development of society and industry.
The third edition of the annual Faculty of Engineering exhibition
The exhibition included a distinguished presentation of innovative student projects, preliminary models, and applied research, which reflects the advanced level of students in the College of Engineering, the university’s vision in applied education and linking students to the needs of the real market, as the event witnessed a great interaction, as students presented ideas that reach practical implementation, which enhances the university’s position as a center for innovation.
Among the most prominent activities of the exhibition, a dialogue symposium entitled “From the idea to the company: How to go into the Entrepreneurship Journey”, included a group of leaders in their fields: among them is Eng. Ahmed Al Suwaidi, CEO and Managing Director The Middle East for Ship Administration, a pioneer in marine administration and strategic expansion, engineer Wael Hamdi, Executive Vice President of the Swedish Electric Group, Hossam Saif Al -Din, Executive Vice President and CEO of Capejimini Egypt, and Engineer Abdel Rahman Abdel Latif, a graduate of the College of Engineering at the University of Coventry, who presented a practical vision on moving from academic ideas to implementation.
The speakers discussed the challenges and opportunities they faced, and participated in their experiences in building successful startups, starting with the idea of the idea, passing the financial obstacles, to expansion and keeping pace with market variables.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Al -Shafi’i, Professor and Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Coventry, said: The engineering trip exhibition is not just an academic event, but rather a real starting platform for future leaders, where ideas turn into a tangible reality.
He added that the event confirms the university’s commitment to preparing a generation of innovative engineers, by enhancing integration between education and industry.
For his part, one of the participating students expressed his impression, saying: The topic is not just ideas but how to turn them into reality, and this exhibition presented us with the full plan to achieve this.
