Engineer Sherif El -Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, held a meeting yesterday evening to follow up the drinking water system in eastern and western Cairo cities to determine the ongoing preparations for the summer, in the presence of the Ministry’s officials and the New Urban Communities Authority.

Eng. Ahmed Omran, Vice -Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Facilities Sector and Follow -up of Networking and Station maintenance, reviewed during the current meeting of the water system to provide cities needs in eastern and western Cairo during the summer, along with plans for water sources.
During the meeting, the Minister of Housing added the sanitation system in the tenth of Ramadan City and the industrial drainage system, and the efforts to raise the efficiency of the system, as well as the position of the city irrigation system.
At the end of the meeting, Eng. Sherif El -Sherbiny directed to develop future vision and plans to expand the system to accommodate the expected growth volume during the coming period in those areas to secure all its water needs, stressing the daily follow -up of the system to avoid any obstacles that affect the provision of current needs.
