The head of the electronic crimes prosecutor stated that the Public Prosecution received a report from the Department of Electronic Crime Control of the General Administration of Anti -Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security that the administration monitored a video circulating through social media, in which two Asian defendants appear that brings acting acts and public morals that violate the values and customs of Bahraini society and calls on the public to immorality.
Immediately, the Public Prosecution ordered the seizure and bringing of the accused, and by interrogating them, he read the accusation attributed to them, so the prosecution ordered that each of them be imprisoned seven days in custody pending the investigation, and they were kept on the mobile phones used in the commission of the crime, and ordered that they be referred to the criminal court in an urgent manner, requesting that they be sentenced to the maximum penalty and remove them from the country permanently.
In this regard, the head of the prosecution calls on users of social media programs to adhere to the regulations of publishing and circulation, whether in what is recorded, written, or produced and available to the public, as the contents of the publications should not depart from the frameworks that the law has drawn, and that they do not affect the customs and values of the Bahraini society, as the Public Prosecution will not hesitate to confront firmly for any behavior that violates public order and the provisions of the law.
