Injury … the beginning of the shock
First of all, let’s go back to the moment of injury, what exactly happened?
– The injury happened to me in the first leg against Saudi Arabia in Jeddah, at the World Cup qualifiers last October, it was a strange and difficult moment, I was in a defensive position, and I tried to cut the ball, but the knee berries in an abnormal way. I felt very severe, and I knew from the first moment that the issue was not absolutely simple.
When did you make sure that the season has ended for you?
– After medical examinations in Bahrain, the doctors said that the injury is a cut in the cruciate ligament and the internal and external cartilage of the left knee, and that the season for me was over, it was a shock at the beginning, due to the strength of the injury, and because the qualifiers were important, and the club also needs the services of all players.
Many mixed feelings
How did you deal with this challenge?
– I was among many mixed feelings … frustration, sadness, and questions about the football future, but then I started to absorb the situation, and I told myself that it is necessary to deal with the stage as it should, and respond to treatment and the advice of the doctor and the therapists in order to return stronger, I was following everything, and I try to be positive despite everything, so any player can be exposed to what I was exposed to, but the most important thing is how to exceed this.
Treatment in Spiezar
Tell us about the treatment and rehabilitation plan until now?
– After the diagnosis in Bahrain and the operation by Dr. Ali Al -Majid, a long treatment stage began, and now, about two weeks ago, I moved to Qatar, specifically Square Hospital, and I feel a great improvement now, they have a distinguished staff for treatment and rehabilitation, and everything is accurately calculated, and the atmosphere is positive that helps to interact with all exercises.
What is the expected period of your stay in Qatar? And when do you expect to return to the stadiums?
– The plan is to stay in Square for two months, and I will return to Bahrain in July, God willing, with complete fitness, if things go as it is now, I will be at my best in July in order to prepare for the next season.

Have you received the necessary support from the club and the national team during the injury period?
– Certainly, the support was great from the club and the team, the coaches, the administrators, and the players, all of whom contacted me and followed all the details, and this thing gave me a great moral boost. Even the audience did not fall short with me, I received many messages, and this thing I will not forget.
Hopes continue
– The team has lost the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup now, do you think we can qualify for the annex?
– It is true that we have lost the opportunity to qualify directly, but we have not lost all the hope of qualifying for the World Cup, two games remain for us with Saudi Arabia in our land, and with China in their land, and with the appropriate results we can qualify for the annex, we must work to win every point, and fight until the last moment.
Do you think that the team is able to overcome the current stage?
– Yes, the team has distinguished elements and a great coach, and we have players who are able to make the difference, we faced difficult circumstances in previous matches, but now you must look at the next, if we focus and play in a fighting spirit with the application of technical instructions, we can achieve what it sees as difficult.
Do you wish to be among the team in the attachment if we qualify?
Of course, the team is a dream for every player, and I work well until I go back at the best level, if I am ready, and the coach saw that I will contribute to what he wants, I will surely be proud to represent the team again.
Riffa … a season full of challenges
Riffa this season did not appear with the same usual strength, and did not compete strongly to achieve titles, what are the reasons from your point of view?
– The team went through a difficult period, from injuries, technical changes, and the pressure of matches. There was no stability, all of these things made the team appear less than usual.
The team came out of the King’s Cup semi -finals against Sitra, and it is third in the league before a round of closing. Do you consider it a season for forgetting?
– It is true, we did not achieve the aspirations, neither in the league nor in the cup, but I do not say that it is a season for forgetting, but a season we learn from, we must be honest with ourselves, and know the mistakes until we return stronger, there will be preparations for the new season, and, God willing, the team returns to compete from the start of the league. Do you expect the Riffa to return strongly in the next season?
– Yes, and with confidence, the Riffa is a team that has history and championships, and it is not satisfied to be in a retreating position, or to get out of the cup easily, we have excellent elements, and if we start preparing properly, we will be one of the most prominent competitors.

What do you say to the Riffa fans who are waiting for your return?
– I tell them thanks from the heart. Every message and every supplication I received, I felt it, and it had a great impact I have, and this is a promise from me: I will return and give everything I have, whether with the Riffa or the team, my injury was a station, but it is not the end, and the return will be stronger, God willing.
