Egypt, the former German national team star, Gerald Ozel, received his first visit to the country, which was organized by the German embassy in Cairo in cooperation with a number of local partners, in the context of strengthening cultural and sports exchange between the two countries, and supporting young people and children with health challenges.

His cones began one of the most prominent symbols of German football and from Ghanaian origin, his visit to a tour of the Pyramids, before heading to the Peace Youth Center in Nazla Al -Samman, where he met a number of young people and assured them of the importance of insisting on achieving dreams despite the difficulties.
During his meeting, his vaccines shared his personal story, as he overcame a congenital heart defect that was discovered at the age of 18, and he continued in his football career despite the doctors’ warnings, to become the first German player to be allowed to play with a heart attack on the stadium line, according to the German embassy in Cairo on its official page.

The visit program included the participation of his hestelings on a sports day at the School of Saint Delores (DeO), in which children from an Ikhami care house participated, as he expressed his happiness to meet and interact with children, stressing the strength of sport in planting hope and building self -confidence.
The German player concluded his visit to Al -Nas Hospital, where he met children with heart disease, and expressed his full support for them, confirming his commitment through his institution to help children with the same disease he faced in his youth.
The German embassy in Cairo expresses its pride in organizing this visit, which embodies the human and sporting spirit and opens new horizons for cooperation between the Egyptian and German people.
