Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, held a session of discussions today, Wednesday, at the beginning of his visit to Rabat, with Nasser Bouraita, Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation and Moroccans residing abroad in the sisterly Kingdom of Morocco.
Ambassador Tamim Tamim, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Dr. Badr Abdel -Ati handed over a written message from President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi to King Mohammed VI.
Minister Abdel Ati affirmed Egypt’s interest in strengthening relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, expressing the aspiration to push the path of bilateral relations through the contract of the Joint Supreme Committee in Cairo, and the meeting of the coordination and consultation mechanism at the level of the foreign ministers of the two countries.
He highlighted the interest in upgrading the path of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, which was reflected in the visit of the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade to Rabat in February 2025.
The Foreign Minister praised the success of the Egyptian-Moroccan Business Forum on May 4 in Cairo with the participation of 148 companies from both sides (74 Egyptian companies and 31 Moroccan companies), expressing Egypt’s keenness to follow up on its results in the coming period, in preparation for the contract of the joint commercial committee between the two countries next October in Cairo.
The two ministers exchanged visions about a number of regional issues, foremost of which is the situation in the Gaza Strip, as Minister Abdel -Ati reviewed the efforts made by Egypt to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the resumption of the ceasefire agreement, and the full access of humanitarian aid, reaching the Arab plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, and the conference that Egypt intends to host to the reconstruction of the sector immediately after the ceasefire, praising in this framework headed by the King of Morocco The Jerusalem Committee, and the committee’s contributions to supporting the Palestinian issue, as the meeting dealt with the discussion of the latest developments in Sudan, Libya and the African Sahel region.
