The inflation rate in Saudi Arabia stabilized for the second month in a row during last April at 2.3% on an annual basis, after it rose at the same rate in March of the year 2025, after its stability in the first two months of the year at 2%.
According to the data of the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia, today, Thursday, the increase in inflation 2.3%last month, mainly due to the high prices of the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel department by 6.8%, the prices of the Food and Beverages Department by 2.2%, and the prices of the department of various goods and personal services by 3.5%. On the other hand, the prices of the transport department decreased by 1%.
The rate of inflation was affected by housing and water prices
The housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel department increased by 6.8%, driven by the increase in the housing range of housing by 8.1%in April 2025 AD, affected by the increase in the prices of apartment rents by 11.9%, and the increase in this section had a significant impact on the continuation of the annual inflation for the month of April 2025 AD due to the weight that this section constitutes, which is 25.5%.
The prices of the various goods and personal services department also increased by 3.5%, affected by the prices of jewelry and hours of all kinds, and precious antiques by 21.9%. The prices of the restaurants and hotels department also increased by 2%, driven by the increase in food services prices by 2%.
While the education department increased by 1.3%, due to the increase in the rates of after the high secondary education by 5.6%.
