Al -Ahly club officials reached a semi -final agreement with its Farco counterpart to sign the white team, Yassin Merhi, during the last summer transfer window.
Al -Ahly club is seeking to sign several strong deals during the next summer transfer period, in preparation for participating in the 2025 Club World Cup.
According to a special source inside Al -Ahly Club in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, the Red Club has completed its agreement with Farco to include Yassin Merhi for 40 million pounds in a final sale deal.
The source confirmed that the contract with Yassin Merhi came based on a report submitted by the Red Club Planning Committee, as the committee refuted the advantages of the defender.
The source pointed out that the committee indicated in its report on Yassin Mari that the player is still young and can be the nucleus of building the team.
The source added that the Planning Committee believes that Yassin Meri, a defender who is good at the air collision, in addition to being a team player as well.
The source indicated that the committee described the player that his numbers are the best during this season, in addition to that he played 7 years within the ranks of Zamalek.
Al -Ahly wants to strengthen the defensive line of the red team, especially in light of the club’s failure to reach a final agreement to renew Rami Rabia’s contract, in addition to the repeated injuries that hit Moroccan Ashraf Dari.
