Many people postpone what they would like to achieve in the hope of awaiting the right moment, or when conditions change to the better, and many of them would like to express their feeling of love and gratitude to people who love them, or to do something to express this feeling, but they always postpone the implementation of this until a later time.

And some people dream of learning something new that sings their lives as learning a language, playing a musical instrument, or learning new skills in art or technology, and others are looking to achieve a project they dream of, or carrying out a travel trip to a country far away from his culture and identifying his customs and traditions, but they postpone what they would like to achieve to the future because of their preoccupation with the crowd of life. There is a thousand security and security that we would like to achieve, but life is pregnant with surprises, and every day something is highlighted, so we postpone and postpone until it is too late, when regret does not benefit.

We forget that the train of life takes place without waiting, and that time is like the river that does not return, and things may change to the worst and not for the better, and the circumstances may complicate and achieve security is difficult.

Moreover, life will not always come with the perfect scenario that we aspire to. So, if we fall into the trap of procrastination, we will only survive it, as the postponement of what we want to achieve negatively affects our passion and extinguishes the luster of hope in our souls.

We postpone the apology to those who wronged it, and we precede the loss, and we postpone the recognition of the beautiful person who had a good impact on our souls, so we lose it without expressing our gratitude, and we postpone living as we love in this life, so we discover that it has passed without living it. Time does not wait for anyone, and whoever thinks that he owns tomorrow, may wake up to find that yesterday was his last chance.

I infiltrated a beautiful and old sketch of the Rahbani brothers entitled “The Blue Season”. It affected me a lot. The hero of the story was a poor farmer who married his girlfriend and promised her to buy a “blue velvet dress” she dreamed of throughout her life. Twenty years passed, and his conditions improved, and one day he surprised her with the gift he promised. Unfortunately, despite her joy in the gift, she apologized to him, and gave her her granddaughter because it was too late, and the dress was no longer worthy of her because she grew up in age. The lesson from this influential story is to fulfill the pure promise that the husband made on himself to his wife after those years have passed when his financial conditions improve.

But on the other hand, it reflects a painful fact, which is that the dream may be fulfilled after it is too late, or it may never be achieved because of our preoccupation with the crowding of life, or because of special circumstances we are going through, or the lack of the appropriate opportunity according to our belief.

So, if you would like to tell someone that you love him, then tell him now and not tomorrow, and if you want to reconcile your friend, you have wronged him and preferred against him, then apologize for him and his favor now, and if you want to plant a tree and enjoy its roofs in your life, then plant it now. And if you like to express Ihsan with your parents, then reduce the wing of humiliation from mercy at the time before they leave this world, and you feel sorrow throughout your life. And if you want to change the way of your dry treatment of your wife, who has devoted her life to you, change it now and work to satisfy it with a word of love or a expressive gift before you lose it. And if you want to play with your children and enjoy their company, do that day despite your preoccupation, because they will grow up quickly and do not imagine and feel sorrow for what you missed. And if you dream of traveling and discovering the world, do not postpone that, and start doing all of this now before the days stole you and fall into the procrastination trap. As one of the wise said: “Do not wait for the opportunity but rather make it” because the right moment may never come.
