Today, Monday, the activities of the largest campaign to clean the beaches and the sea floor in Sharm El -Sheikh, which resulted in extracting about 5 tons of the sea bottom in the largest campaign to clean the beaches, concluded, in a move that reflects the state and civil society’s commitment to preserving the marine and coastal environment in South Sinai.

The campaign, which was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Tourism and the South Sinai Governorate, witnessed a wide participation of 200 diver and volunteers of Egyptians and foreigners, as well as a number of tourism companies and diving centers operating in Sharm El -Sheikh.

Dr. Enas Samir, Deputy Governor of South Sinai, expressed her great happiness with the success of the campaign, stressing that the great participation had a direct impact on extracting this huge amount of waste from the depths of the sea and throughout the beach, noting that this initiative is a role model in all tourist cities in the governorate.

For its part, Yasmine Hemes, the leader of the climate for the seas, confirmed that the campaign that concluded today is the largest of its kind among the tourist cities of South Sinai, not only in terms of results, but also in terms of the size of participation and positive interaction, praising the spirit of cooperation and teamwork among the volunteers.

Heimis pointed out that she is proud of working alongside committed volunteers of various nationalities and backgrounds, all of whom met on one goal, which is to protect marine life and preserve the beauty of beaches in the city of Sharm El Sheikh, which represents an international environmental and tourism interface.
