Al -Qasr Al -Aini Hospital announced the formation of specialized engineering committees to assess the state of the main power station in Abu Al -Rish Hospital in Al -Munira, in the context of the relentless pursuit of the development of the hospital’s infrastructure and consistency with the importance of ensuring the continuity of medical service and the safety of sick children, after repeating severe breakdowns that threatened the regularity of the electrical current and caused a direct impact on the therapeutic service inside the hospital.

After an accurate examination of the existing situation, the reports concluded that the station had reached a degree that is impossible with it, which is impossible to reform or partial update, which necessitated a urgent decision to completely change it.

This technical evaluation came under the supervision of the hospital’s engineering administration, headed by Dr. Rabah, in cooperation with the Sayyida Zainab neighborhood, responsible for the public electricity network in the region.

In a quick response to the volume of the challenge, the necessary technical and financial chapters were prepared, and full funding for the project was provided by the Abu al -Rish Al -Munira Hospital Committee, at a total cost of 64 million pounds, to start the actual implementation of a new electricity station, designed according to the latest international standards and with the highest levels of safety, in a way that ensures the stability of the electrical current and the continuity of health care without any interruption.

The importance of this project stems from the critical nature of the services provided by the hospital, which embraces hundreds of children who suffer from blood diseases, kidney disease and undergo dialysis sessions, in addition to emergency departments, reception, glands, liver, and surgical operations, as well as intensive care units for children, where every moment within these sections represents an unbearable life or danger.

This strategic move came under the auspices of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel -Sadiq, President of the University, and supervised by Dr. Hossam Salah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Qasr Al -Aini and Chairman of the Hospitals Board of Directors, who showed a great commitment to lead the engineering and administrative move, and to confirm that the infrastructure is an integral part of the quality of medical care, while emphasizing it on the continuity of providing services for children without interruption of the embodiment of the officials that he holds inside the direction of the patient Palace Al -Aini Hospitals.

Dr. Hani Al -Asali, Deputy Executive Director of Hospitals for Financial Affairs, also played a fundamental role in managing and coordinating the financial aspects of the project, and contributed to overcoming administrative and financial obstacles, and ensuring that the necessary resources are provided without any disruption, in a real embodiment of the pivotal role he plays in maintaining the readiness of the infrastructure of university hospitals.

He pointed to the role of Cairo University Hospitals, Al -Aini Palace, in the service of patients, especially children’s hospitals, Abu Al -Rish, specialized and enlightened in supporting the children of Egypt, and providing high -quality free health care.

And Al -Asali added: The implementation of this vital project is close to the director of Abu Al -Rish Al -Munira Hospital, Dr. Sharif Al -Anouri, who was keen not to be affected by the workflow inside the hospital during the implementation of the project, to ensure the continued provision of medical service at full capacity without interruption.
